Renting table clothes versus purchasing ?

wifeytobejuly17, on February 7, 2017 at 7:16 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 7

Not sure the best route to go here . I have looked at linentabeclothes.com and it was $120 to purchase . That sounds pretty steep considering I'd have a ton of work to do to steam, press, etc. what have other people done to save money AND stress ?

I'm skipping fancy linens and going with the basic ones provided by the venue. I'm only buying one for the head table, on Amazon.

I decided to rent them rather than purchase, because like you said there's a lot of work to prepare them before they are all ready to use.

I just did a lot of research and found a local place that rents for $18-30 for the tablecloth types that I was interested in. Most of the vendors were around the same price, but this one was a few dollars less per item.

Rent. It's honestly not worth the work.

Yes, it seems like a great deal to buy them until they arrive all wrinkled and you have to get them pressed. My cousin bought linens and gave them to us, so we paid to get them cleaned and pressed and it cost more than what my cousin paid for them in the first place. But my venue insisted that we press the linens, so we didn't buy new ones. Renting was more expensive than paying to get my cousin's linens cleaned, though, so we still saved money.

I've bought mine online. The only options where we are getting married to rent them is white ivory or black. I really wanted green ones. The cost came out about $1 less for me to buy them when all is said and done so I figure that's worth my time to steam them. Then I can perhaps sell them afterwards and defray my costs a bit

I bought them for a friends shower and it's a TON of work! I'd advice renting!

Going to rent them....I hate ironing and don't want the hassle of taking them down and bring them up all dirty.
