Registry questions

I started mine in July because my original shower date was in September.

Shower got changed to November but people started buying stuff from our registry once they found out where we were registered (FMIL told her people I guess)

Wedding is in December!

I don't follow the WW checklist exactly. There are a bunch of stuff that says "overdue" and other things I got done before the "deadline" . It's just a guide to help you!

I did it about 5 months ahead. You don't want to do it too far in advance as some items can be discontinued. This happened to me and I had to change it quite a few times.

I set up mine about 4 months before the wedding. I figured there's really no rush to set it up before invites for showers or the wedding go out.

I started really early and I add things from time to time. I also check to make sure things are up to date since it was so early and things get discontinued.

We started ours back in May, a year and four months before our wedding and we've just continually updated and modified. We went with a bed bath and beyond registry and an amazon registry.

I was thinking the same thing! I was going to do it next year. It told me I should now, but I feel like it's way too early.

For what it's worth, when we went to Macy's to register and told the woman our date she said "oh getting a head start, I see!"

I keep cross referencing the WW timeline and the Knot timeline and there's interesting differences! So I wouldn't sweat it.

Anyway, in addition to Macy's I think we're doing bed bath and beyond , but were debating crate and Barrel. I like BBB because I can throw some cheap random stuff on there too.

We did ours about a year out, so we could list it on our website, and so our families could answer if people asked. We had people asking where we were registered though, shortly after we got engaged.

We just did it a few months ago. Store inventory changes so often that I think if you did it too early you'd have to update it all the time.

Setting up a registry and making the registry public are two very different things. Putting your registry together can be a little overwhelming if you do it all at once; I think it's best to work on it a little at a time farther in advance so that when you get ready to start sharing it, you've had time to add and delete and change whatever you need to.

I did mine bored at work like 10 months or so before the wedding. I haven't used it at all though. You really don't need it until you start having showers

We started ours in sept.. we add to it as we think about things. We are sending save the dates within the next month and plan to have it done by then.

I set mine up already, but I am not giving people it until the invites for the shower goes out. I can adjust it when things get discontinued and whatnot.
