questionable about the time of the wedding

Shaina , on August 28, 2008 at 9:13 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

I am not sure what time to go with for our Nov 22 wedding. we want to be able to have enough time for daylight pictures after the ceremony. also, in november it gets darker sooner. generally I think it gets dark around 5:45-6pm in November. we were thinking of having the wedding at 3pm. that would give us 3-4pm for the ceremony and then 4-5pm for pictures. then the reception starts at 5pm. I think it would be nice to have some daylight pictures. that would be nice too if we had some right before sunset, too.

what do you think?

A 3:00 pm wedding time in November would be fine, also check with your photographer as well. they should have a good idea of what time is the best time for pictures. That time of year, in my experience, the sun "starts" to set around 4:30-5:00 pm.

If you go to the weatherchannel.com you can look up the weather history for your city over the past several years. I used to to check how hot it normally is on my date, since I'm having a daytime wedding. You should also be able to find what time sunset usually is on your date. Also, if you go to the book store you can always check an almanac, they also predict the time of sunset for specific dates. Good luck :o)

It's always nice to get a lot of daylight pictures, but for posed pictures, if at night, check if your photographer has a light kit.
