Pregnant bridesmaid

One of my bridesmaids is pregnant. She is due this Wednesday and we ordered dresses in March. She ordered 2 sizes up to be safe and is just going to alter the dress however necessary. I recommend just ordering and altering if needed, that way you're not worrying whether or not your dress will be here.

If the dresses are coming from DB they should be in within a few weeks though.

I agree with KW..order a couple sizes up and alter it as needed.

I would check at DB. My girls ordered theirs in mid-march and they still haven't arrived. Scheduled for mid to late June though. That's about 8 weeks. I think it depends on the dress itself but I think you won't have enough time if you wait until July for a 9/4/15 wedding. I say order now and have it altered.

Are you talking about July of this year? What does DB say about how long it takes to get dresses in?

Definitely ask DB how long it takes to get a bridesmaid dress in. You might be able to pull it off, but I wouldn't want to risk it.

What if you go past your due date by a few weeks? Are you really going to want to go to DB with a 7 day old? What if you have to have a c-section and can't drive/get around?

I'd go ahead and get it, a few sizes up from what you expect to need, and have it altered in August.

Your abdomen is not going to go all the way down the day you have the baby. That will probably take 6 weeks or so. So waiting to order the dress is unlikely to help.

My girls ordered last week, and depending on what dress they chose its all over the place. They are spaced out from June to Sept. So I would go in and ask what delivery times look like for specific dress and colors. They should give you and idea what takes 4 weeks all the way up to 16 weeks.

I would order it now, get it a couple sizes larger than your normal size and alter it down. That way you don't need to stress about going to DB if the baby is late, there are any medical issues, or you just don't feel up to leaving the house within the first week. Plus you won't need to worry about it arriving in time.

One of my bridesmaids is pregnant and due at the end of June and my wedding the beginning of October. She just ordered her dress a few sizes up. Didn't want to risk the dress not being in on time and we knew that her size would change between July (after she has her baby) and October anyway.

My friend had this she ordered a size up but most likely you will still have a belly. Only thing is it's hard to know if you like the style cuz trying on the dress pregnant with the belly and bigger boobs probably won't be as accurate as after u have the baby
