Photographer Meeting

One question I thought was helpful was if I could see an entire wedding album (online). Of course you can see a few shots from multiple weddings on Facebook/website but I thought it was really nice to be able to look through a whole thing to get a better idea of what I would be receiving.

I would ask if he/she is bringing a assistant. My venue I have to pay for photographers food and assistant if they bring one.

Have a conversation and see if you get along with them. You have to spend hours with this person so you need to also like them personally.

Ask about their style, what equipment they have, how do they store the photos, what are the backups in case the camera malfunctions, what do they do in case of an emergency or illness and cannot shoot your wedding. Ask about watermarks and if you have rights to the photos. Ask how the photos will be delivered to you-on an USB, through an online digital gallery.

Ask how many heads have they been a main shooter for weddings-I only considered those who had 5+years experience being a main shooter.
