Park Lodge Reception Help Needed!

My fiance and I reserved a park lodge for our reception. We are looking to talk with other couples or venders in the Rochester, NY area that chose this option and their thoughts on it. Is it really a money saver? If you had another wedding, would you go this route or chose a traditional venue? Any tips to make it a success? Thanks!!!

Pre plan and Pinterest the hell out of it! and utilize their set up! Think of how you can enhance every detail. Our wedding is at a lodge venue in warrensburg NY (so it's a little on the plain side) and my mom thought of EVERY detail to decorate down to the BATHROOMS ! But it's the details that help. And yes.. saving $! Is always great !

I'd say step away from Pinterest honestly.....because half of the 'details' on there won't even be noticed and trying to achieve them will make you stressed out and crzy.

Get a great caterer who is familiar with unorthodox spaces and comfortable working in them. A Day of? Yep. A necessity.
