Online RSVP's

Mikka, on October 10, 2016 at 8:46 PM Posted in Planning 0 22

I'm trying to decide if we should go with stamped envelopes for RSVP's or online. Are online RSVP's the way to go now?

I think it depends on how formal your wedding is. If you're having a huge ballroom wedding, I suggest card RSVPs. But if you're having a low-key wedding, online RSVPs should be fine.

We are doing both. Stamped envelopes WITH the option to do it online.

We had a large, very formal wedding and did online RSVPs, through our wedding website. All but one couple responded, over a week before our due date. There was no way I was going to waste money on envelopes and stamps, when I've read all over the internet that a lot of people don't even return them.

Based on our "generations" invited I think we r also doing online. Cheaper and easier to track :-)

We did online RSVPs for the younger crowd and cards for the older crowd. It worked splendidly! One thing I really liked about the online RSVPs is that nothing got lost in the the mail, and nothing got delayed by the mail. It was easy to follow up with people, and they could respond online right away after I reminded them with their info.

We are planning to do both as well. We have some people who are not computer saavy (our parents and their friends) so we figure we should do both.

We did online and stamped. Worked for us. Some people sent back the online invites on the mail. But it all worked out in the end. Just make sure you keep track of every RSVP

I like giving the option of paper or online, however that won't really save you money since you have to make the paper ones.

Just make sure the date of your rsvp deadline is far enough out that you can call all the people who didn't do it online. I feel like I might forget if I didn't have that paper staring me in heaven face to return it.

Out of 80 I only got 2 actual RSVPS. All the rest just informed me online.

We are planning on both, because some of our older family members aren't so tech savvy (i.e. haven't quite figured out e-mail).

Personally, I'm having written rsvps especially since my wedding will be more formal. Its something ill only be able to do once so I want to make certain details special. Plus I'm old fashioned and I like getting mail Smiley smile

I tried to do the online RSVP but my guests were not into it. I only had two couples RSVP online. Everyone else either called or mailed in their card. I would look at your guest list and decide what will be the best course of action.

You need both. Some people will use the online, but most probably will still send them in.

Our wedding was formal, but we did online RSVPs. I know those sound opposite, but we got a lot of compliments from the older generations about how cool it was, so it didn't totally blast our formal vibe out the water. (It might have also helped that our save the date and invitation suite was letterpressed and we had professional calligraphy).

I would highly recommend going online. We used rsvpify.com, and it was simple to set up. After the anxiety of not knowing whether USPS delivered our STDs and invitations, the last thing we wanted to worry about in the final weeks was whether RSVP cards were lost in the mail.

We did online. It worked just fine. Only a couple of older guests needed help, and they just called to let me know.
