NWR: These h*** ain't loyal

Chantel, on July 10, 2014 at 9:56 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 15

This song by Chris Brown is so extremely inappropriate... YET, I can't stop myself from vibing to it, singing along, and nodding my head each and EVERY time it comes on.. SMH. Am I the only one that gets caught up in these songs? The one that got me before this was Rihanna-Pour it up. Definitely not appropriate for a married lady with kids, lol..

Maybe I am getting cabin fever from all of this studying...

Lol True we aren't dead... But my husband gives me the side eye when I sing it out loud.. Lol it's a look like.. Yeah you enjoying this a lil too much. It is hilarious. But he always lets it play til the end. Of course not when kids are in the car. Cause the first time I hear my child say "strip clubs and dolla bills" I am ripping the radio out then and there

HA! You're not alone. But, I actually find it easier to listen to positive music by thinking of my daughter. I definitely would not want her listening to some of today's secular music whatsoever, so I think of her, and change the station.

I am guilty of this!! I am also not a parent to my own children (nieces and a nephew I love as my own) I hate when a new song comes on i'm jamming too and something inappropriate comes on while they are in the car and can't get to change the station quick enough!

@Aleykit yeah, I understand. My music choices changed after I had her. I hardly listen to the radio anymore. But one day I was dropped her off at my moms and was riding home and that first little intro came on... I was like hmmm ok. Then the beat dropped... It was a wrap. Lol

@Kelly the worst part is when they hear it and say stuff like.. "Mommy, what's a hoe" -_-

I'm absolutely in love with Avenged Sevenfold's "Little Piece of Heaven", which is about a man who kills his gf, does inappropriate things to her body, she comes back and kills him, then they get married in death and kill a bunch of people. It's extremely well written and fun to sing, but I know that if I were to listen to it in front of anyone other than my FH (who introduced me to it) or other fans, I would be taken straight to a therapist lol! In fact even my FH has asked "Should I be worried? Are you trying to tell me something?" after he realized how much I loved it, but now he's like "I'm so glad you love that song! I was so scared you would think I'm weird for liking it!" We're very musically inclined so we understand that our love for it is due to it being so well written. I think that's the only song with really terrible lyrics I'm obsessed with.

I love inappropriate music. My favorite artists are Waka Flocka, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa, SchoolBoy Q, Kanye West, Triple 6 Mafia...I enjoy twerking on occassion and I can Diddy Bop and Dougie with the best of them.

I pretty much listen to everything though....The the Band Perry to Katie Perry...haha! From Fleetwood Mack to Jill Scott to Rhianna to Wale.

I actually want the DJ to play Rhianna and Chris Brown's "Cake" during the cake cutting...haha!

I am a party girl, I like to have fun, I like to dance, I like all music, good and bad...I try not to get caught up on what a "married lady should like"...I am going to be a good wife. My musical tastes really shouldn't have any effect on my ability to love my husband. Besides, I do my best cleaning when "Bands Will Make Her Dance" is blaring on my iphone..

Lol Riki.... I used to love 3 6 mafia...I used to feel that way about music too. But when I had my daughter and started getting serious in this relationship, I calmed down some of the songs I played because honestly, at times I feel like I am condoning the behavior when I sing it. Idk. I used to get into it all the time with my dad cause he would say "you supporting rappers and they calling you bitches and hoes" i would say "no, I am neither so it doesn't apply to me. As long as bitches and hoes exist then there will be songs about them. " Now, I don't even want that music around at all because of my kids, and even when I hear some of it I am like.. This aint music. This is junk. Maybe I am getting old.
