NWR: Psoriasis/Eczema

emsker, on March 28, 2017 at 11:35 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6

I've had issues with eczema since I was in high school. It has kind of come and gone over the years, and just recently, I've started getting patches of it on my abdomen and back. Normally I get it on my arms and legs. Psoriasis also runs in my family, and I've had that on my scalp. I have quite a while to try to get it all cleared up til the wedding, but I'm starting to feel self conscious about it. Do any of you have any tips for eczema or psoriasis? I've tried things like gold bond lotion and other strong moisturizers, but none of them seem to be a permanent solution.

I would suggest seeing a dermatologist and seeing if they couldn't get you a prescription for a medicated ointment or have any treatment they could provide to get it under control. Have you tried the Aveeno Eczema lotion, I know some people who have had good luck with that... but I still would suggest the Term.

My daughter has eczema, sometimes she has really bad break outs. The things we do are,

-wash all her clothes in all free and clear detergent

    -she uses dove soap

-eczema lotion after warm water showers, not hot , that helped a lot

-shes a child, Im sure you dont, but shes not allowed to lay, sit , or play on carpet at her school, she breaks out so bad. We have no carpet at home.

-I put regular cooking olive oil on her scalp, because she breaks out everywhere.

I use cetaphil lotion and it actually worked my dr recommended it because I needed relief & couldn't wait to get into a dermatologist (takes 3mo to get an appt). I would suggest talking to your Dr or dermatologist because everyone is different.

A steroid cream prescribed by my dermatologist is the only thing that clears up my psoriasis

Order psor-Val spray online. I have psoriasis on my scalp also. I have cortisone cream for other skin issues like eczema and it doesn't do anything for psoriasis. The spray stings but if you use it as much as you can it clears up! It's oily in your hair so put it on before bed and wash your hair in the morning. Or if you're just at home try to spray it more often Smiley smile

I'm currently using steroid creams, Betamethazone, for my eczema. I've broken out all over my shoulder and arms...its so annoying. I have like less than 3 months to clear it or I'll have to wear a bolero
