I was just wondering if anyone has ideas about what to send in a care package to a friend who just went through a major surgery. My friend had a transplant, can't have visitors and all yet, is far away from family and friends. I am wondering if anyone has any good ideas of what to send. I text her every so often, but don't think she is up to long conversations at this point, so wanted to send her a quick little note and package.
My ideas so far: a blanket I crocheted, a water bottle with "There's a chance this contains vodka" on it to make her laugh,nail polish. None of these things will help her pass a lot of time she will have alone, though. What would you enjoy getting if you may be in pain or stuck in an apartment away from family/friends? I was thinking an amazon gift card and putting a note saying to pick a book or movie you want, but is that thoughtful? What would you want?? Not sure what she can eat at this point, so I am thinking snacks are out. Thoughts?
