I'm just curious now, am I the only person who's never seen even a second of this show?

@m ha! Unlikely! But I've found that people who are into GoT are *INTO* GoT.

Last night's was mostly slow, I felt. interesting that we saw the Brothers without Banners again. They keep bringing back lots of characters we haven't seen in a while.

I'm hoping Gendry will eventually come back.

Great beginning, great ending. But I'm really curious as how in hell Cersai will get out of her predicament NOW.

Part of my summer is rewatching the series to see little details that were actually hints. I'm on season 3.

Omg. Seeing the fuck up Edmure made me scream.

Also, I just finished marathoning Outlander season 1 this weekend and my head was spinning see the same actor again in a totally different role.

Also fuck Black Jack Randall. He hurt Jaime!!

I'm really into it, but I read the books. The book-readers are usually more into it. And perhaps we're more into it because we're truly interested to see what story lines they kept, how the filmed certain scenes, etc. And now it's virgin territory. The series has moved beyond where the books are.

Actually, I kinda cheered on Edmure. He was right - Riverrun belonged to him. I'm hoping Edmure will end up in Winterfell.

I LOOOOOVE Tobias Menzie. Punkin Beer, did you ever watch "Rome"?

I found the whole Edmure surrendering the castle thing highly implausible. All that build up for a battle and then.... nothing. Are they knights of Riverrun or robots? Why would they just hand over the Blackfish like that? And I don't believe he is dead until I see a body. Plus I find it impossible to believe that the Freys would have killed his child if he wouldn't have surrendered.

I have been reading the books, but only in fits and spurts. I'm somewhere in book 4 right now, and I should really find more time to read it, because as I understand they are covering some book 4 plot lines this season.

WTF on them getting rid of the Blackfish after just bringing him back.

Also very disappointed that there will be no trial by combat. Clegane bowl has been cancelled

ETA: E-Tex - I love him as well! Rome was a great show. Not going to lie, Outlander almost ruined him for me. He's so horrible in that show.

Tbh, I was a little worried for the Hound if Clegane Bowl became a reality after what Ser Gregor did to that septon. But Bastard bowl is on like donkey kong!

I think there is a chance Blackfish is still alive. Is he and his death really so unimportant that we wouldn't have seen a body? I also think that Edmure made the best decision given the circumstances.

Arya's and Jaime Lannister's plots don't make sense anymore. Very bad writing.

In the books, Jaime has left KL because he's given up Cersei and to show he's grown as an individual. Show!Jaime clearly still loves her.

Yeah Punkin I absolutely hate that departure from the book. I had such high hopes for Jaime.

Seriously the Blackfish cannot be dead. Survived the Red Wedding, took back Riverrun, hardcore as fuck, and he goes out like that? I refuse to accept it.

Blackfish wasn't the rightful owner of Riverrun - Edmure (as Hoster Tully's son) was. And even though he wasn't the best lord, he was still lord. Those men gave fealty to Edmure. So yes, they had to lay down their swords if Edmure said so.

I think the Blackfish is dead - but I wonder if the Brotherhood without Banners being close by will come into play. They resurrected Catelyn in the books, and since that's not happening in the series, I can see that happening.

And Frey is an ass - I can totally seeing him killing his grandson if it meant getting Riverrun back.

I admit I'm a little (but just a little) sad that I'll be honeymooning the next few weekends (and that FH is a full season behind) because of GOT

I suppose some might side with the lord who is less likely to get them killed too... but it was all so abrupt that it just didn't seem realistic.

Meanwhile, what was the point of the Tyrion, Missandre, Greyworm drinking scene? Other than the fact that Missandre and Greyworm are fantastic?
