Nwr: Acne and Eczema

Heather, on April 13, 2016 at 10:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

I have oily acne prone skin with small patches of eczema. Does anybody else have this problem? I use an oil free non medicated moisturizer but it doesn't seem to be helping. Any recommendations on products that will help?

I use the cetaphil wash and the cetaphil face moisturizer. Theres a foaming oil control version too that really helps with oil, I just decided that I liked the other one better. I have combination skin, more on the oily side and I deal with acne. I used Aczone Gel to get rid of the acne.

I have a really bad eczema. I use cerave twice a day, works like a charm! My derm recommended it because I am a swimmer and chlorine made it so much worse. I used to use cetaphil but it wasn't helping at all. The tub of cerave at any grocery store, it's about $15 but is worth it and lasts a month!

Coconut oil did wonders for me! I have combination skin that is prone to oil and frequent breakouts. My skin was so embarrassing in high school and into college and I tried EVERYTHING under the sun. I even took accutane and underwent laser treatment to remove scarring. While still left with minor scars, I still got breakouts and my skin was out of control. I finally decided to try a natural remedy by using coconut oil and it has been a miracle to my skin. Now, years later I still don't have perfect skin but my breakouts are fewer and far between and my skin is smoother and softer without the dryness and deep blemishes. I can even go weeks without using it and when I start breaking out I just smear on some CO before bed and within a few days I'm back to normal! I also have eczema spots on my legs and when it flares up I just rub some CO before bed as well and it helps it go down. Sometimes it'll even go away for a few weeks before flaring up again but it definitely helps with the itchiness of eczema!

I have eczema and I stick to the Vitamin E line from The Body Shop. For acne I use Clean & Clear products (the ones in the purple packaging that has salicylic acid).

I have eczema and had awful acne when I first started T. The most helpful things for me have been Eucerin, prescription cortisone cream, Dove moisturizing sensitive skin soap, and doing a clay mask every 2-3 days -- 1 tsp bentonite clay, 1 tsp raw honey, mix into a paste with (clean) fingers, add 1 tsp water and 2 drops tea tree oil, mix with fingers again, apply to face and underside of jaw, let sit 10-15 minutes, scrub off thoroughly with a warm-to-hot washcloth, apply toner.

I use to have horrible acne. I started using essential oils and have had great success. Tea Tree oil is amazing mixed with coconut oil or moisturizer.
