NWR & Kinda Sad: I lost my Grandmom yesterday...

Dayna, on January 14, 2016 at 8:22 AM Posted in Fitness and Health 0 34

Sorry in advance if this brings anyone down. I'm just numb right now and unable to adult. My Grandmom was 94 and up until this time last year, she was my Emergency Contact. Yes, I had an 90+ year old as my emergency contact. That's how youthful and full of life she was. She had no problem telling you how she felt regardless of how it sounded when it came out. But that's why we all loved her. She was the foundation of our whole family. Even now, we don't know what to do to plan her funeral because this is something we would all rely on her to do. *sigh* Please hug your loved ones a little tighter today. And if it's not too much trouble, please send vibes & thoughts to my Daddy...he's devastated and incredibly brokenhearted.

I'm so sorry. Smiley sad I know how much it hurts. I was close to my grandma as well. It's been almost 10 years since she's past, and it still hurts. It hurt especially bad on my wedding day when I was dancing with my dad (she was his mom).

I'm sop sorry for your loss. My grandma passed away this last September and it still doesn't feel real. I have her wedding dress and I want to figure out ways to incorporate it into my wedding. I'm getting teary eyed now. My thoughts are with you.

I am so sorry for your loss.

My grandmother has been in and out of the hospital for the last several weeks. She's 97 and like your grandmother, was always full life (until about Nov when things got bad) and was the center of our family. Every one is having a hard time knowing she's on her last chapter.

Thoughts of peace and healing to you and your family. It sounds like she was truly an amazing person.

I am so so sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is to lose a grandmother that you are really close to. Nothing anyone says will help, but I can tell you that time heals. Not all the way, but one day you'll be able to think of her and smile instead of cry. Keeping you and your family in my thoughts.

I'm so sorry for your loss. It sounds like she was a big and important part of your life and that is a wonderful thing. I know that doesn't make it any easier though.

I have lost several very important people and I have learned two key things:

    1) nothing anyone says will make it any better, but the love and thoughts from people are still very much appreciated. Go back and read the messages again sometime, especially from others who loved her.

    2) There is no right way to feel, no right way to grieve. Feel what you need to feel.

    You'll be in my thoughts.
