November brides - we get married NEXT MONTH

Oh don't remind me. I really have to get my ass in gear and finish some stuff up. I destracted myself for awhile there by planning MaKyla's birthday party instead, but now that it's all planned I can't really do anything but finish up the wedding to do list. Luckily the list of what we still need to do is relatively small. We need to:

Meet with our ceremony space on the set up:

Finalize our booking for wedding day transport:

Tweak and print the seating chart:

Print our programs:

Frame our Instagram sign

Order another easel for the seating chart

Meet with our officiant (10/10)

Remind everyone of rehearsal and dinner time

Print parking passes

Write thank-you toasts

Finish welcome bags

Get MaKyla's and Rose's flower girl shoes

Arrange food for when the bridal party is getting ready

Finalize music selections with DJ

Set up the reception space (11/5)

I have a long to-do list!!!!! I know we will get it done!

OMG *commences freakout*

I'm actually scared to make a to-do list.

Holy eff. I don't even know. In September we moved to a new state and started new jobs... So wedding stuff has been 2nd (3rd...4th...) priority.

I've been trying to just do weekly to do lists. When I look at the calendar for the next month of the shower, hair apts, trips home, dance lessons, I kinda want to go fetal. Just trying to remind myself it is ALL GOOD stuff to be stressed about and I'm thankful for that. Last night we decided our new wedding mantra to avoid being overly concerned about the small stuff is "who gives a shit, we're getting married!!"

Mrslav - that's what I was about to say! I don't have a list because I'm scared of a list.

Adjo - I think the same thing. At the end of the day we will be married, the rest is just extra!

Mrslav - Agreed, I haven't made a list because I can feel my blood pressure rising just thinking about everything I need to do.

Work has been crazy lately and I've been travelling out of state for the past 2 months, so I haven't had a chance to really think about everything I still need to do for the wedding. I just got home yesterday so I have a month to pull it altogether. At this point, whatever happens happens, I have to hope that my planning up this point has been solid and that it will all come together!

I've done 5 of the 24 things on my to do list.

I'm currently almost done with 1 more (tracking down the missing RSVPs) , and working on another (making the paper roses for my bouquet.)

I'm freaking out!!!! 36 days!!!

At the same time, I kind of just can't wait for it to be here so I can have a few days off, see my family, meet FH's long time friend from Alaska...AND his dad!!!

Things are coming together, but its getting to be crunch time.

I started on the scrapbook pages for the guestbook last night, and I must say, they look nice. I'm waiting on my mom for my baby pictures.

Oh my gosh I was just thinking of a November thread this morning. Today is 50 days for me! I'm meeting with the church wedding coordinator tonight to start talking more specific timeline, setup, etc. And I still have some crafty stuff to do this weekend.

Sunday the 11th is my shower. Final fitting 10/24. Bachelorette party on November 13th, tentatively.

Other than that... people need to turn in their RSVPs!!

We're supposedly signing a lease on an apartment today, and it starts today! Boo for paying rent at two places, but we've waited so long to live together, we're going to save it for after the wedding. 43 days to go! We're still waiting on at least half the RSVPs, which is so annoying. I have my final fitting October 30, and bachelorette party on October 23! Still have to finish bouquets and centerpieces. Twin, you'll be partying in spirit then for my wedding

Randi - I BEAT YOU! I was hoping no one else had done it yet! I actually thought of posting when I first woke up this morning but figured that was a little excessive.

Yasmin - I'm so excited to see the paper bouquet! I love unique bouquets like that.

Twin - oh my gosh yes my bachelorette party is the same day as your wedding, you're right!!! I don't know what we're doing yet but it'll be low-key. So I will probably be cuddling with my girl friends, sipping wine and opening lingerie presents while you are partying it up

Question for everyone... how do you go about figuring out toasts? I've only been a MOH once and I was young and had no idea what I was doing, but it was for a super small wedding too. Do the BM and MOH usually offer or does the couple just ask if they want to do it?

My MOHs and FH's BM have both just kind of said they know it's expected and are planning to do them. We never asked, and they just figured they "had to" haha and we're just letting that be it.

We had to ask a GM to do a toast because FH's BM isn't comfortable speaking in public.

My MOH (my sister) has been preparing for years, apparently. lol

Ugh.

I have to pick a Father Daughter dance.

We weren't going to do one, but dad's getting older, and I really want that special time with him.

I'm thinking "My Darling" by Wilco.

Did he have a preference at all? I thought my dad wouldn't and it turned out he'd already picked a song... "Turn Around" by Kingston Trio.

My dad picked a very wedding-y song - "Walk With You" by Edwin McCain. I've never heard the song you're talking about Yasminadlv, but I'd just run it by your dad and see what he thinks!
