ceremony venueNot really sure how wedding ceremonies work ?? 1

Ok. so I am having a casual-er wedding. the ceremony is in a outdoor pavilion, in a public park. And I'm a little confused on how to do things. The ceremony starts at 3pm, so I was thinking that we would play some love songs for guests while the socialize a little bit and get seated. and then As I walk down the aisle I was going to have amazed-lonestar playing. and then a more upbeat song to exit to, and then play some more music while guests are leaving?

can someone tell me if this is how most weddings are done??? I'm so confused haha

Yea your music layout sounds great!
But once you get up to the altar don't forget to do vows and rings before you exit Smiley smile

The most basic wedding ceremony outline consists generally of the seating, processional, welcome, vows, ring exchange, benediction, recessional. You can change and adjust as suits your needs and personality, however. More religious ceremonies will often incorporate prayers and scriptural readings. More creative ceremonies may include performances or special ceremonial activities. All weddings are beautiful celebrations of the love and commitment shared between brides and grooms. Happy planning!

T really hit the nail on the head. I just wanted to add that your officiant should be able to help you with the order of how things will go. They can also help you plan a ceremony that is unique to you and your FS.

Ours has some unique parts to it but basically goes:
    Processional
    Welcome
    A love poem being read
    Handfasting Ceremony
    Vows
    Rings
    Sand Ceremony
    Recessional
The really basic parts of that would be "processional, vows, rings, recessional".

We are having a casual wedding at a park too. I wrote our ceremony because our officiant is, well was, a friend and there are certain parts we wanted incorporated. Depending on whether or not you have a religious ceremony or a professional officiant that might change how you do things. Usually those people have their own ceremonies they follow.

Some people like to play a different song for the seating of the grandparents/parents and the processional of the wedding party and then a new song when the bride enters, or you can use the same song for the entire processional, it's up to you! You might also want to choose a song to be played during your unity ceremony, if you're having one.
