Tough one, Joline. But (as usual) Brian has good words of advice. You do have to give her credit for being up front with her decision - even though it hurts. It's ok to be sad, but don't let the sadness hang on. You will have a great day - marrying the one you love. Hopefully, you can patch things up, and she'll attend your 10 year re-commitment ceremony! Good luck - and keep your eye on the prize!

Try to focus on the positive happy moments and on you and your FH - maybe take a night off of wedding stuff and do a fun date night out somewhere to get your mind off of everything for a few hours. Good luck and I hope everything turns out wonderful for you on your wedding day!

I agree with everyone else about the advice. One silver lining is that she told you now not the day before or day of. As for a good laugh this usually does the trick... let me know what you think... I'm giggling just thinking about it:

Lovely unique she is not coming because she is not in the wedding. she is one of those people who is an attention hog and when my fh and i announced our engagement and pregnancy she was vary mad/upset that she and her kids were not in the spot light and now my son is 3 months old and she has never met him and she basically said she never will and that because she isn't in the wedding she will not be attending.
