Bruschetta, mini meatballs, antipasto platters, shrimp cocktail, stuffed clams, fried calamari, eggplant rollatini, pasta station, mini paninis...

Mrs fall bride gave some great suggestions. I definitely would do bruschetta! I think a lot of people will enjoy that. Caprese skewers are nice too. LOVE the idea of mini paninis! I would be so excited as a guest. Stuffed mushrooms, anything with prosciutto, stuffed mushrooms, go on Pinterest and search Italian appetizers because they had some yummy ideas!

I'd also throw in the usual fruit platters. Maybe cheese and crackers too.

Those are some great suggestions! The bruschetta would be a big hit, meatballs, chicken wrapped in bacon.. I would also agree with pp and do a cheese display. Any fruit or vege platters or stations is great!

Our caterer offers a bruschetta table with crostini and 3 different bruschetta toppings that could be good. Other suggestions: prosciutto wrapped melon or asparagus, mini flatbread pizzas, mini arancini (rice balls), stuffed squash blossoms. Love the mini meatballs and mini paninis too. So many options!

Check out local food trucks and see if they have Italian type foods. Usually food trucks are cheaper than traditional caterers and it would be something fun and different for your guests. They usually have menu options on the more creative side as well. Can't wait to see your pictures!

I would stay away from fruit platters, I never see them at weddings because no one eats it. Plus, fruit platters tend to be one of the bigger markups at a wedding, food-wise. My SIL is a corporate meeting planner and she almost never arranges for that because it's such an over-charge.

When I said antipasto platters, I mean cured meats, cheeses, marinated veggies, etc... people will go to town on that. Fruit in the evening? Not so much.
