Are you inviting 200 people or 200 households? Because you don't need 1 invitation per person.

I think these are perfect, Trish. I think simpler is better unless you have a particular theme. Why don't you get some ideas on pinterest.com. You can also get some great ones at Vistaprint.com They are actually having a great sale now. Be sure to order heavier stock.

@brieliz -- let me rephrase, we will be inviting 230, so I guess it will be more like 170 invites Smiley smile

@Felicia -- Vistaprint is a good idea, I forgot they even existed!

@AtoZ just checking Smiley smile a lot of people post on here they didn't realize it was one per household and ordered double what they needed

I ordered mine on wedding paper divas (now through the Shutterfly website) but a lot of people here use vista print

@brieliz - I might lose my mind with 170 invites, let alone 200! Yikes!

My advice is that if you are going to make your own invitations please make sure that you give yourself enough time to put them together so that you won't be overwhelmed. We are making our own invitations and because they are so complexed we have already began to assemble them.

I put ours together. Ordered the invites from VistaPrint and the pocket invitations from Cards and Pockets! You can get a simple invite, but find fun ways to dress it up. Pinterest is the best!!

I ordered my save the dates, invites, response cards and matching envelopes all from Vistaprint. They are really cute, and the invites themselves with all the coupon codes available came out to less than .70 cents each! Invites weren't a huge deal to me, so I chose to spend less on this. I have a friend that did custom made (from I think Etsy) and they were over four dollars a piece!

I made my save the dates and intent to make my invites. I will order a template from Etsy then design myself and also add small details myself. I ordered the printed versions on next day flyers which is much cheaper than other places and the quality was totally fine (for my save the dates). It allowed me to do the little details I wanted without breaking the bank

I am making ours myself. I don't have a pic cuz they're not completely done and I want to change the wording before I print them all out. They do look homemade but not in a tacky a kindergartener made them kind of way and I love them. They were exactly what I was going for so that's all that matters. I made them on word and printed them out onto the paper I wanted.

Home made invitations are a great idea! I plan on doing mine homemade because I am very artistic. YOUTUBE IS YOUR FRIEND! I have seen so many great videos on DIY invitations! There are kits you can buy on amazon that have everything you need and with DIY you know they will be exactly how YOU want!
