It depends on what they are getting done and probably your region too. If this is something you're requiring, I'd call around and compare prices. If it's not mandatory I'd let them figure it out.

This will vary across areas, I would reach out to your local H&MUA's to get a idea of what they charge. I am in Northern Virginia (which is known for being pricy) and each service is $80 for my BM's, so $160 total a person. They are getting their services through the same H&MUA that is doing mine. I made both services optional, they all chose to do both so I decided to cover their makeup to reduce their cost. ETA: it's too early, I can't type.

I was looking to go to a salon to get our hair and if ppl want their makeup done it would be $55 or up for hair and makeup would be $35 and, if they want lashes it is $15... I was also looking at the girl that will be doing my makeup and she would come to the house and she could do everyone hair and makeup if they wanted it. Hair would be $75 and airbrush makeup would be $75 including lashes (makeup is optional) I would rather have someone come to me than to go to the salon... thoughts about prices?

Those aren't bad prices. My hair stylist and assistant are coming to us and it's $60 for their hair, and $55 for makeup with lashes if they want them

I am paying 25-30 to have my bridesmaids hair done. I will be paying for that. I am not making my girls get their makeup done, therefore I will not be paying for that.

It totally depends on your location. I am paying for everyone to get their hair done.

    Makeup is 80 for everyone

For my bridesmaid (WI) the price is $60 with lashes, $50 without lashes.

Do you think $75 for hair/makeup is too much or since it is optional its ok? Again i don't want my girls to think i'm not thinking about their finances......

I am having our hair and makeup artist come to us. Hair is 85, makeup is 95 (15 for lashes).

I am not requiring my girls to have either one done. If they would like to, they know ahead of time the price they need to pay for the service. I also am not requiring them to get their hair or makeup done in a specific style (updo, down, etc). They can do whatever they want.

If I did want everyone to do it a certain way (all updos) then I would have to pay for it. IMO it's rude to "require" anything beyond the dress unless I pay for it.

That includes accessories, hair, makeup, shoes, etc. If I'm laying out requirements I should be laying out the funds.

Agree with @FutureMrsLabrec and other posters - Completely depends on your region! I had a hard time with this as well, but I just spent a good amount of time comparing prices within my area and I found that they were pretty consistent (with a few variations and outliers) - then, you look at reputation and reviews to narrow it down further.

I am getting married in a region that requires most vendors to travel at least 1.5 hours to get to where we are getting ready, so I knew I was going to pay a little more for that. So take that into consideration as well.

I am in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky and the bridesmaids' hair will cost $60 each. I have seen anywhere from $50-$80. Hope this helps!

A coworker said well why don't you pay half of the hair ($75) so they would just pay $55... Thoughts? or do you think they should just pay $75

But do you think that is a reasonable price for hair $75?
