Limos for us and family??

We are having an out of state wedding and we don't want our immediate families to have to take their own cars to the ceremony/reception site. So we were thinking we could rent 2 10 passenger limos one for me and my family and one for him and his family for before the ceremony, then after the ceremony FH and I leave in one and our newly joint family leave in the other. Would that make sense, or would it be too awkward? My parents are divorced but both remarried. His parents are divorced however both remarried and his dad and step mom we are not worried about providing transportation for them. One of his step moms daughters lives in the area and we are sure they will be staying with and riding with them. I need major opinions on this one!! Thanks ladies!
