Just booked our honeymoon!

I'm so excited to say we have booked the honeymoon! Going to Florida for a week! Tried to go through a travel agent but I was able to get better deals on my own. Amazing hotel with a great price. And because of all the points I've earned with SouthWest credit card, our flights and rental car is free! I can't wait! 3 more months!!

On that note. What are some good pointers of staying in the Orlando area. Good places to check out? (I know of all the big theme parks and such. Looking for different things) Smiley smile

Okay so yes it's at the theme park but it's little known called Disney quest. You get to design and ride your own roller coaster lol. You have to try it out. It's outside the main parks and is it's own admission. There is the midevil times dinner show. Slueths mystery dinner show, Kennedy space center, gatorland, wonderworks, Titanic and lots of others. Try googling what to do in Orlando.

Disney Quest closed last spring/summer. ☹️ If you want a high end dinner, Victoria & Alberts is actually located within Disney gates but at the Grand Floridian, it’s a Michelin 5 star restaurant. Fair warning, you will pay upwards of $400 for dinner, but it lasts several hours and was truly the most memorable evening FH and I have ever had. Think pampering, high end 7 or 11 (small) courses, wine pairings. Then you can slip out and watch fireworks after!

We go to Orlando frequently as FSIL lives there. Disney springs has fabulous shopping and restaurants (I love Homecomin’ owned by celebrity chef Art Smith) for wonderful fried chicken and moonshine based drinks . There are tons of bars there as well! I can point you towards an outstanding dueling piano bar as well. There is so much night life down there. Where are you staying in Orlando?

I love it down there, I’m so excited for you!

Unfortunately, Disney Quest is permanently closed. City Walk has some interesting shops and restaurants, as well as Disney Springs. I would personally stay away from the International Drive area, as it's all just a huge tourist trap. Downtown Orlando has some nice places to go, but it all depends on what you're interested in.

Orlando has some AWESOME dinner shows. They have a fabulous murder mystery one. And they also have a great pirate one that's pretty hilarious! I would just google "dinner shows Orlando" and tons pop up. Read reviews, they are seriously so much fun!
