Is anyone having their wedding on a friday during fall back time?

Frany G, on May 4, 2010 at 8:48 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

I am having mine on a friday and am scared because I cant expect my guests to come at an early hour, peoplw work you know. But at the same time Im worried my pictures are going to suck because of the lack of natural light? What to do. Sunset on my wedding day is at 6:00pm

You could ask the photographer if they have any special equipment for nighttime photographs

Frances M. I was dealing with the same exactly thing when until I changed my date from Friday to Sunday yesterday. I didn't have much choice to change it to Sunday but I was perfectly happy with a Friday wedding. Mine was gonna start at 3:30 so I can get those daylight photos. What I figured is...if your guests really wanna be there for you, and if you give them more than enough notice they will take a half day or a vacay day for you. Ppl take days off all year long for things that aren't important as a wedding...but then you have to know that to some guests your wedding won't be that important to them. Just make sure your guest list is filled with ppl you are close to and who you can count on.

Mine is on a Friday at 3:30, with the reception not starting til 6:15... I am really happy with my decision! I think people can make the time if they want, and I gave at least 6 months notice to plan ahead. Everyone was a little shocked (especially my mother!), but it will all work out and be beautiful Smiley smile

Don't worry, simply discuss your concerns with your photographer so that he knows the appropriate equipment to bring along/preparations to make. Trust their experience, I'm sure they will offer wonderful suggestions on how to best capture all your moments.

    Good Luck!

The photographer could take pictures of the two of you separately before the wedding and together after the wedding.
