Invite Question

I would ask your mom to wait a week or two. It might be overkill to receive them both in the same week. Depending on the way the mail runs, some of your guests might receive shower invites before their wedding invitation and that could be awkward. Five weeks before the shower should still be sufficient time for people to RSVP.

I agree with Caytlyn, that's a lot of wedding information coming out at once. I think if your mom sent invitations out, at the latest, the first week of March, you'd still be okay. Spread the wedding news out a little bit.

But Feb 1 is a little early to be sending out invites for an April 27th wedding. Definitely wouldn’t hurt you to wait a couple weeks— mid to late feb would be fine

There is nothing weird about them being sent the same time. I would suggest holding off sending the wedding invitations though. Sending invitations put you at real risk of guests putting them aside and forgetting to RSVP. You'll likely need to hunt a ton of people down to ask if they are coming.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I am going to tell my Mom to just do her thing, and I will push my invites to Mid/Late February. Happy Planning!
