Invitations finally assembled!!

LauraR, on April 20, 2017 at 8:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 13

I finally sealed the last invite to mail them out tomorrow. It's such a relief to be done with them. I was really hoping to get them mailed out earlier but there was just too much work involved. I threw a baby shower for my SIL on the 9th and it was a blast but took a lot of time and prep.

For the invites I had the bright idea to do my own deckled edges so I had to tear each side. FH did the wax seals which was a huge help. I really wanted the thin ribbon but I realized the calculations were off and I could only do two invites per roll. WAY too much ribbon. So I decided to just finish off the ribbon I had already bought and do the rest in wider blue. It's at least a match to my wedding colors.

I just checked out that Etsy shop.. so how does this all work? I mean, like envelope liners, how does one even print something like that?

Can I ask approximately how much it was to get it all printed? Smiley surprise

    Thanks everyone!!

@Jenny, I just went to the local printer and they printed the liners on regular paper and cut them. They couldn't perfectly round the edges since they used a paper cutter but it only too me about 20 minutes to through and round them. Then you just slide them in, fold the envelope down so you get a crease, and glue the top of the liner to the flap. They were very quick.

With the Etsy shop, I purchased the template and then she did all the editing with unlimited changes. Once I approved it then she sent the actual PDF. I took it to the printer on a thumb drive and they took it from there. Printing 50 invites front and back with three pieces plus the envelope liners was about $180.
