Invitations

Katy, on February 19, 2016 at 12:59 AM Posted in Planning 0 19

How soon should I send out my invitations? I have mine ready, but the date is aug. 27. Is it too soon to be sending invitations?

If it is a DW i believe 5-6 months in advance is fine. If it is not a DW 2-3 months before will be fine to make sure you get your RSVP reponses IMO

Typically, 6-8 weeks. If you send them sooner than that, people will likely put them aside to RSVP later, and then forget about them.

Agree w/above post. 6-8 weeks is sufficient if mostly local. Further out and they may forget.

6-8 weeks typically but we might do closer to 10-12 because the majority of guests are from out of town. More than 12 weeks before the wedding is probably extreme if it's not a DW.

6-8 weeks is sufficient. I'd say now is way too early.

Defiantly 6-8 weeks, if its to far ahead people put them aside and forget about them.

I agree it's too soon. I'm sending mine out early March for my mid May wedding. 8-12 weeks is the general timeframe with 12 weeks being for a DW.

Mine is the same date but 80% of guests are out of state.

I'm sending mine out in late April.

We have already told every guest the date.
