Ideas or suggestions for turning a ballroom into that chapel feel for the ceremony?

Yolanda, on January 28, 2018 at 10:13 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6
Hello,
I'm trying to avoid hiring a Wedding Planner, my ceromony and reception is at the Double Tree Hotel, 2 different room, The ceremony was suppose to be the university, I graduated from, since freshman yr, I said I'm going to get married here, it has that old antique church style, hardwood pews, glassstained windows etc.., welp! Our schedules clashed and I couldn't have the ceremony their, so it will be at the hotel,
I'm looking for a touch of the chapel feel and look for decor, please send me any ideas, links, pics, I've been googling, pintresting hotel weddings and I get more reception looks not ceremony,

I know I'm limited bc it is a ballroom, I'm assigned a Wedding coordinator with my fee, she said they don't do many ceremonies only receptions, so she has a lot of decor for that, I have to buy an aisle runner , prob columns, they will provide a stage, she said so we can look higher, while saying our vows.

I mean, it depends on what your vision is. A hotel ceremony can be beautiful. Since you have a December wedding, have you considered a holiday theme?

These are for rent in my area. $12 for single candle holder. $20-$30 for the wrought iron candelabras which are 66 inches tall. Door was $25. Glass door was $50

I agree with PP that a hotel ballroom can be beautiful for a ceremony. These pics were my personal favorites I saved to my vision board on Pinterest. I ended up getting married in a church, but if i hadn't, I would have used these as my inspiration. The last pic with the Christmas trees was my absolute favorite since I had a Christmas wedding.

I think the barn door rental was $300. But if the room is huge you might need a bigger door for scale.
