Ideas for a gift for my 12yr old son?

My 12yr old son is going to be a groomsman in our wedding. We are having a small DW, and he is thrilled to be a part of it and really looks up to his soon to be step-dad.

The groomsmen are getting personalized bottle openers (they are big craft beer drinkers) and I haven't decided what else yet. What do we get for my son? I would like to do something special for him, either from both of us or from my fiance. Any ideas?

My son is 11...I'd gifted him with an engraved gunmetal bracelet from Things remembered, his first real bottle of cologne (he's always spraying on DH's so I figured it was a clue), and a watch (albeit a cheap one, but a watch no less). All things he's into right now and would use. This preteen stage is awkward so I didn't want to go too young or too old/mature. I found my happy medium. Good luck!

FH son is turning 14 on the 30th but he's immature for his age. Maybe a cool watch would be a good idea.

Buy the same kind of gift you would give him for a birthday or Christmas.

For the groomsmen, I think that's FH's department. My FH is deciding on all attire and gifts for his groomsmen himself. I would let your FH pick something that has meaning between him and your son.

We're doing bracelets with the GPS location of the ceremony engraved as the place where we officially became a family.

I love the watch idea with something engraved on it! That's something that could be special to him. Maybe do the GPS location like Loveisfortheybyrds suggested I also love the cologne idea!

firstoneat56 - Finding a meaningful gift for a very special occasion for a 12yr old boy (a difficult age to buy for as it is, and being a boy even harder) isn't exactly as simple as it sounds. I'm pretty sure these forums are great for sharing ideas, which is what I was looking for.

Murial - he does not have an iPad. But he has an iPod that he's grounded from... haha!
