It seems like I shouldn't get excited over such a small detail of the wedding, but im bursting with excitement! Like the moment I pressed submit order is when it clicked in my head "Im getting married this year for real, I just ordered the garter im wearing that day". I'll probably Have a few more...

Like the moment I pressed submit order is when it clicked in my head "Im getting married this year for real, I just ordered the garter im wearing that day". I'll probably Have a few more moments like that, but when did it click for y'all? Have you just had a burst of happiness over something small? Also, I wanna see y'alls garters/ inspiration!! Mine has camo because my FH is a hunter and wanted the WHOLE WEDDING to be camo and like orange...I love camo as much as the next country girl BUT I told him were gonna add it in as classy as possible. All camo in the wedding is gonna be on his tie, grooms cake table & under my dress lol.

@FutureMrsG Nope. I've never even seen a garter tossed. I didn't have one and I've been involved in 3 other weddings and none of those brides had one. My mother didn't wear or toss one and my parents married in the late 1970s.

What's the point in wearing a garter belt? I've always been confused by that

Tossing the garter is like the equivalent of the Bride tossing the bouquet...but the husband takes the garter off and tosses it to the single guys.

" Tossing the wedding garter is an old time held tradition. It is said that in the days gone past, the bride and groom had to show proof of their wedding consummation. In order for it to be proven, it was common tradition to have people like family and friends come into the room with the couple. The "witnesses" would obtain the garter as "proof" of the consummation. Also having any article of the under garments was considered to be good luck so sometimes things would get out of hand in the newly wed's bedroom as crazed onlookers snatched at clothing to get for good luck. This was not appreciated much by the bride nor many grooms, hence the groom started tossing the garter out so that no one would need to obtain it themselves."

I love camo too but not for my wedding so we did a rustic theme and my garter is the only camo thing he will see all day

Here's mine! I was going to get an auto bot one or Optimus prime one because FH is a transformer fan. Even has the autobot emblem tattooed on him. Seeing others with comic book garters has me about to buy the Optimus prime one now. Lol.

It actually didn't hit me I was getting married until I purchased my wedding dress. I get super excited about all of the wedding items I purchase and want to show it to everyone.

My mother's maiden name was Peacock. I lost her in 2009. I found these on Etsy, my lace will be navy rather than that teal color, (colors are navy & white) These just made me feel like it was a sign that she would be looking over me on that day! Love all you ladies garters too!!!
