I need ideas for the printing of the programs (outline of ceremony).

Are there any great ideas floating out there. I need ideas about the order of entry and how to acknowledge those that have helped us out. Any samples that I can veiw online? I ordered the paper stock from the same place I ordered invitations from (wanted the same 'dove' theme. They are Natural White z-fold program featuring a pearlized border with doves, ribbons and roses. Features the words "Our Wedding Program" in pearlized script lettering. They are sold blank inside so I could print them myself.

I just completed the grueling task of making my own programs. I bought plain white card stock, and printed them. All I did was a basic "hamburger" fold, took a hole punch and made 2 holes in the sides, and tied ribbon on them, so it looks like a book. I had no idea what they were going to say until we discussed the music with our organist, and he sent us a list of what music we picked out. From there, I took that and plugged it into a ceremony plan. This of course depends on what religion you are- being that baptist ceremonies are totally different from jewish, and so on. Here is a peek at what I did, but keep in mind I'm a baptist/methodist-

    Prelude.................................Piano Selections

Seating of the Grandparents...................Canon in D

    Seating of the Parents

    Mothers light the Unity Candle

Attendants Processional......Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring

Bride Enters, Escorted by Brother.......Trumpet Voluntary

    Opening Remarks..

Good luck I hope this helps!!!

Here are some invitations that I just recently made for one of my clients. In the inside back page, we included a "Thank You" section with a nice poem to family and friends. How large is your bridal party?

A lot of my brides wanted to recognize loved ones who have passed and what we usually do is before the professional, have the ushers place a single white rose in their honor of the front pew—no one is allowed to sit on the front pew. If you want to thank special people, most programs have an acknowledgement section for vendors and special guests. You can also set aside time at your reception where you can personally thank them on the microphone. As for the order of entry, it's generally like this:

There is either music or singing to denote the start of the program then the processional begins.

-special guests, ie grandmom, grandpa, mom, aunties, god-moms are seated by the usher

-Pastor, groom, and best man enter through a side door and wait at the altar

-The groomsmen and bridesmaids come in pairs

-Maid of honor comes by herself

    -Ring bearer

    -Flower girl

    -The bride and her escort

I hope this helps. Advice is free so e-mail me at **************@****.*** with any ?s.

Once you got the outline, use this for someone to help coordinate your day. This really helped me out.

I just copied/paste this website and made some changes to it.
