I keep having wedding nightmares

KarenM, on March 19, 2014 at 8:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

That no one will show up. I have 80 out of state guests. Obviously, my immediate family will show, and I've heard for sure that about 6 people (out of 112) can't make it, but I'll never really know until the RSVPs come in. I literally have dreams that I am walking down the aisle and there's only about 10 people in the church. I'm I the only insecure idiot?

I have had the most bizarre wedding dreams! Not yet about the number of guests, but about showing up and forgetting to buy my dress, that FH forgets we're getting married and goes off with his friends, that Tupac crashes (VERY unlikely) and that our officiant comes in wearing a costume-- once it was a bunny, once it was as a fireman (which he is one, so that at least makes sense!)

I'm ready to have this wedding and sleep soundly again!

@Aftan I hear you. My dream about no one showing up only happens in my sleep, but all the other nightmares are right there when I'm awake. @Mrs Mac, that's hilarious. I think the bunny is fabulous!

I've had nightmares about my dress flying out of a convertible on a freeway. I live in NYC and don't have a license. Embrace the crazy, there's never any rhyme or reason to it.

I have nightmares about forgetting things, forgot to cut the cake, forgot to get a photographer, the dj didn't show up, and etc.

FH says his biggest nightmare is that people don't have a good time. For crying out loud! We have an open bar! Love the convertible scenario. I'm thinking that would make awesome pics!

Mine isn't even for almost a year and a half and I'm already getting the nightmares. I had one where when I was walking down the aisle wondering why no one came, I forgot to send out all of the invitations!

@Future Mrs. Burt, that's exactly the nightmare I have, although I don't know whether I've sent out the invites or not.
