How to plan

Decide together what your budget will be. This is number one. Pick which things are most important to you both and what your priorities will be when it comes to allocating money. Do you absolutely have to have a plated dinner? Do you have the perfect venue in mind? Make these priorities. From there start looking into vendors. You don't have a wedding date until you've booked a venue, keep that in mind. If there's a specific vendor you want, start checking them out now. 10 months seems like a long time, but vendors book up quick. The WW checklist is also very useful.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking. You need to book a venue, photographer and/or videographer, an officiant, pick a florist, a caterer, someone to do your cake, a band or DJ, a wedding planner or DOC if you want one. You'll need to pick your bridal party in the next few months if you choose to have one. There's lots more to do besides choose the city where the wedding will be.

Follow the check list that WW has. It’s very detailed and covers everything you might need.

You have to decide a budget, and if you have a large budget you can get somebody to plan the whole event. Our budget, was not that big, so we got somebody to plan the entertainment, they are a danish company: http://bifald.dk/

Check out the WW checklist. When I started my planning I scanned the entire list then focused on what's due closest. Also use the budget tool, it will help you determine the price of venue, catering etc for your specific budget.

2. Get together a rough draft guest list, so you have an idea of how many guest you will have
3. Get a good checklist
4. Start looking at venues, you dont have a date until you have a venue
5. Start looking at pinterest to get an idea of how you kinda want your wedding to be.

If you dont have a venue you don't have a date. You are choosing the weekend closest to valentines day which is a popular date. With 10 months to go you may have challenges getting that date.
