Our coordinator was included as part of our venue. She works there and works with us the whole time planning everything out. She's my go to, we email every couple days or so. More if something is needed.

We're getting married in Steamboat Springs, Colorado on March 25th. Since its considered 'off season' and we're having a small wedding (about 20-25 people) she's only charging $500. From everything I've read, DOC's are worth their weight in GOLD!

My DOC was about $900. Right now I'm wishing we didn't have one because it was a waste of money. She didn't do what she was supposed to.

That's my fear - Me venue do include a coordinator, but IDK how involved are they going to be and obviously they are not going to manage the church ceremony so I want to be extra precautious and hire a DOC.

I'm in North Carolina and I'm spending $650 for my DOC. I've spoken to several and they can get a bit costly but worth every penny from what I have read.

A venue DOC isn't the same. We do have the venue DOC but I also hired a DOC with a few additional things I want her to do for $1000.

We haven't officially booked ours yet, but the one we're meeting with next week is charging $650. Covers 7 hours of ceremony and reception coordination and up to 2 hours of rehearsal time.

I also do event planning as a side job and I charge $900 for 8 hours of day-of coordination and 2 hours for rehearsal. (Located near Flint, MI)

@windowschick - that's my biggest fear! My venue is beautiful but some time the girls can have a lil bit of attitude (Miami attitude) so that's why I want to hire one to ensure that everything will be okand on point!

I did a "partial planning" package with my coordinator. It was $3000 and 100% worth it. I didn't get a single phone call or question the day of the wedding and everything was perfect.

My DOC charges $1850. We had an initial meeting with her to go over all of our plans and she gave us some vendor recommendations at that time. She really comes in about a month beforehand and helps everything come together, and then of course the day of she handles EVERYTHING from set up to tear down.

We hired her originally because our first venue we had booked didn't provide us with ANYTHING and we were totally lost. We booked a new venue who provides a coordinator so I'm not sure how much use I have for her now, but she's already been paid so...

We are spending roughly $750 for our DOC. In the SF Bay Area. She will be making a timeline for us, handle the payments to the vendors, get some specific decor for us including rentals if we need them, handle all set up and tear down of reception space, attend rehearsal, keep all vendors up to date about what is coming next... I think it will be money well-spent. She seems on top of her stuff so far, but I do believe she has only recently begun her business so we'll see!

I know that it will be totally worth it to have someone to take care of everything, but $3,000 is a lot at least for me and just for DOC, I think... IDK
