So daughter (bride) and I just had a conversation about her dress alterations and her fitting she just had. Daughter was somewhat unhappy with how the bodice is fitting her. Specifically, she feels it does not fit her like a glove, as she expected, it looks "too pointy", and too low-cut for her liking. She did ask alteration lady to add some lace to take care of the too low-cut problem. I will go out there next week, and will be at her next fitting.
I think daughter wants my honest opinion. But how honest to be, if these are issues that might not be able to be fixed?
Daughter wasn't sure about the bra cups that alterations lady installed. What would happen to a bodice if those were removed? Is there a better undergarment that would work instead, that we could have daughter try?
Wedding is April 28. This is getting me nervous a bit.
Daughter also mentioned possibly getting a second dress, for the reception. This was an idea we had had for a long time, since her wedding gown is pretty big and heavy. But now I am taking it as a sign that daughter is really disappointed.
Any advice on what we can do? I'm sorry I don't have any photos yet.
