How far ahead did you purchase your dress?

9 months out because my sister, mom, and I were all together during the same weekend

9 months out. Will take 5 months for it to get here.

Getting married in June and purchased last week. 8months

4 months. We planned our wedding in 5 months. Thank GOD my dress was from Toronto and we're in NYC. Can't believe I picked it up from getting preserved today and I've already been married for over 70 days already. The time flies. The consultants freaked when I told them I was getting married in 4 months. They advised at least 9-12 months out.

I purchased mine in July (so 14 months out), they told me it would take 6 months to get in, but I got a call today that it's already in and I'll pick it up in 2 weeks!!!

I purchased mine 9 months out. Order as soon as you can gives you morw time

10 months out but that's because it was convenient for everyone to come to me over the summer!

About a year out (March).

And it's coming in at the end of this month.

I think some people advise against purchasing a dress too early only because it leaves more time for "dress regret."

16 months out... no dress regret though!!

First thing I did after I got engaged. 3 months after engagement and 4 months before the wedding.

In regards to dress regret, just stop browsing dresses once you've bought yours and you won't experience dress regret.

8 months.. and was a little behind with it. If you go to a bridal boutique most places can take up to 9 months for a dress to come in, and then alterations would still need to be done after that. Luckily, the dress I chose comes in between 3-6 months so I ended up being all set and didn't need to consider rush ordering.

12.5 months. Was told it would come in about 8 weeks later. It came in 3.5 weeks. It came in on the exact one year mark from my wedding, July 15,2016 and I'm getting married July 15, 2017!

I bought mine 2 Thursday's ago. I get to pick it up Monday!!! Our wedding is 357 days from now.
