How can I thank my friend?

*~WiiFeY~*, on May 22, 2011 at 9:35 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5

One of my BM (my best friend) is going above and beyond. She is the one who decide to throw a bridal shower all of her own, and I got really annoyed with it. But I'm over it now, and she's working SO hard on making this shower special. She's also dealt with all the controversy I've had with another BM and she takes over dealing with her when I get tired of it. She has even taken the difficult BM shopping to try to find shoes, since the difficult BM only wants to wear flip flops.

The shower she's throwing today is going to be amazing.. She's spent so much time and effort and put so much thought into it. She's asked a few people (some of our mutual friends) if they would want to help her and they all backed out, so she's doing it all by herself.

She even told her kindaboyfriend about how we need mulch for our yard and can't afford it, and since he does landscaping, he told us to let him know the dimensions of our house and he'd give us mulch as a wedding present! (cont)

She's just done so much.. My other BM haven't even asked if I NEEDED help.. Which is fine, they have busy lives of their own and I understand, but I'm just so thankful for how much my friend has done.

A simple thank you note or the same BM gift I'm giving the rest of them just doesn't seem like enough, but I don't know what to do to thank her. I want to give her a gift today at the shower, but I don't know what to get her. I don't have a ton of money, but I'd like to do something special. I thought about a spa day, but she just got a massage/facial gift certificate for work.

Whatcha think? What could I do to thank her?

She sounds like my bm who does everything for us (me and fh).

Maybe offer to take her to dinner at her favorite place? Sometimes we don't (meaning a lot of people) get to enjoy time with others and enjoy the things we like. So dinner at her favorite place would be really nice.

I think taking her out to her favorite place for dinner would be a good idea. Or maybe tickets to a concert she really wants to go to.

Does she like wine? How about a gift certificate for a mani/ped witha bottle of her favorite wine. Put a note of thanks and how much you appreicate all she has done for you and how much it means. Put something in there about wanting to go get the mani/ped together and lunch for some time together.
