Okay, so the shock has worn off and I have been able to look back and digest the day. Everything that needed to went perfectly! There were some small things that went wrong, but that leads me to my first piece of advice:
1. Don't sweat the small stuff.
My Dad went to the venue early in the morning to set up string lights over the dance floor. When he was done he sent a picture to my mom and we notice that the runners my mom made were too short for the tables. They were burlap and had twine bows on the ends. Luckily, if you took the twine off they looked great. My DOC was able to fix the problem before anyone even made it to cocktail hour.
2. Trust your vendors, they know what they are doing.
My FH had made our baby slideshow and our DJ came up to us to tell us the volume on our CD wasn't working. He didn't have the songs we picked (they weren't really common), but he picked two other songs and synced it up PERFECTLY to our slideshow.
