help with songs

So I want to have a song dedicated to my FMIL because she and I are so close along with her helping out so much through anything wedding or just in life. Can anyone give any suggestions? It's hard to find one from a bride to FMIL and we love country music but all genres welcomed. Please help!

If you're going to dedicate a song to her, just do her favorite song or one that reminds you of her! it doesn't have to be literal. you could even have the DJ (or yourself) get on the mic and say "JKH wants to dedicate this next one to her mother in law.."

I agree with kate. choose a song that has meaning to her or you and not one that's all about the lyrics. does she have a favorite country artist?

This is the type of thing that your DJ/band should be helping you with... particularly if it's a band as you'll want to make sure they know the song or could learn it. Not enough couples take the opportunity to really interact with their music professional(s) and milk us for advice.

For country music, what about "Family" by Dolly Parton?

"For good" fron wicked.
I dedicated that to my bf at her wedding, instead of doing a toast b/c I tend to ramble. Its a great friendship song!

A few others I can think of are...
