Hair Help! Hayley? Hair Google queens? Please report here.

TriSARAtops, on March 29, 2011 at 1:54 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 33

I've put this off for as long as possible: I need to find a hairstyle that will work for me and I need to find it soon because my hair trial is creeping up WAY too quickly!

So here are the details: I have super fine hair. It's around boob-length but when I pull it into a ponytail it's only aboutas big as a quarter - we don't have a lot to work with here, kids. I have a strapless dress (I'll post a picture). I have a fingertip length veil that's trimmed in lace and light beading. I know that I want something that's ALL up because I'm getting married at 11:30 in the morning on a sure to be hot June day and our reception is outside. I don't really want to sweat more than I have to. I also would like to put me veil under my updo so that people can see my hair...

Anyone up to this challenge of helping my find some photos to take to my hair trial?!?

Are you gonna try to grow it out a little more from now until June?

My hair goes to my waist... so I'm not too good at judging how to style short hair.... I'm guessing you will need to do some kind of curls in a group?

Up close of the bodice of my dress... I don't think I have one of the back of the dress but I'll keep looking.

I've been growing it out for quite some time. It just doesn't grow too fast.

However, when my hairdresser saw the length of my hair she said it was a good length and she may even want to trim it a little before the wedding day...?

I know nothing about hair. Clearly. So who knows!!

Something like this might make your hair appear fuller. And you could put the veil under the bun.

Jasmin - its a fit and flare dress made by Jasmine Smiley smile I love it! I tried on something like 200 dresses and I kept coming back to this one. It makes me feel beyond lovely!

Here's a picture of the back of the dress. Ignore the clips!

Konichiwa - I like the idea of making my hair appear fuller!

It is SO Elegant and stunning! I have a similar dress with not as much detail (because of sensitive skin) and I can't wait to wear it!! You will be a beautiful bride!

very pretty dress... maybe just ask your hairdresser which she thinks will work, or what ideas she has.. bring these in as inspiration of what you like and then ask for her professional advise and creativity?

Well thank you! You're making my heart happy with all of your compliments Smiley smile I haven't shared my dress on here up until this point because everyone else has gorgeous, stunning dresses and my posts usually fall through the cracks anyways but you are such a sweet girl for saying all of that. It really makes me feel happy! I'm sure that you will make a beautiful bride as well Smiley smile

Do we think that maybe I don't have enough hair for something like this?

I have fine-ish hair too....about quarter sized when I put in in a pony too...and I thought I wouldn't have enough to do what I wanted with it...even though it is almost to my waist. So I bought hair extensions. My hairdresser laughed at me...Smiley smile She said I had tons of hair, and I was able to do what I wanted with it. You may be surprised. Curls, teasing and hairspray go a long way. I think you could do the photo you put up....There very likely is a bun form under there to give it all that volume.

You might be able to pull of the crisscross looking bun with a hairpiece but not seeing your hair makes it hard to tell. I love the ones the other ladies posted too.. and Hayley is right your hairdresser will be able to tell you if any of them are do-able... maybe shoot her an email with a few pics since she knows ur hair she would be the best judge of what will work..

Hey Trisaratops! That's the same dress as mine!! LOVE IT Smiley smile I have long wavy hair, no clue how I'm going to wear it yet.

But, are you wearing a sash with your dress? That is how it was sold with mine but I'm not 100% sure yet what I am going to do.

    Yay dress twins!
