Hair and Makeup Pricing

I'm in NY and paying $120 for hair and $100 for makeup, so that sounds about right to me. That also didn't include trials for me either.

A lot I have found are very high too. Once i started checking for a salon for us to go to as opposed to them coming to us, it was a little cheaper but still didn't include a trial.
I also looked on thumbtack and found some decently priced makeup artists but they didn't do hair

I'm getting married in Charleston too
I'm using Updo's for I do's and they're around $200 for both. They were one of the cheapest I found because they had a promo when I booked. Charleston is pricey I found out haha! But if you look over in Mt. Pleasant there are a lot of salons as well. I'm getting my hair done at one for my e-pics in a few weeks. It's called Willow Salon. I think special occassion hair is $65. That sounds about right... I am paying $290 for day-of hair and makeup in Los Angeles. Plus the cost of a trial. It’s pricey! Careful though, if you try to find someone further away for a cheaper price, they’ll probably charge a travel fee to come to you. It could cancel out any savings off the base price anyways.

I paid $250 for my hair and makeup and it was another $250 for the trial. This is in Northern California.

Yup that’s pretty standard. I’m paying $270 for day of. $180 for trial.

I found my makeup and hairstylist on Thumbtack. She didn't charge me for a trial and I'm paying her $200 for my hair and makeup the day of my wedding. Are you also getting your bridal party's hair and makeup done? She's is Summerville so you're closer to her than I am and she is so amazing to work with!!

I'm in Denver, paying $210 for bridal hair and makeup and $170 for moms and bridesmaids. That doesn't include trial or travel. She was on the middle/upper end for pricing!

We are in Orlando and I contacted a million people. We had prices from 150 - 500 for hair and make up for the bride. I kept searching and finally found someone who would do hair, makeup, and lashes for $110 for the bride and $100 for the rest of the bridal party. Keep searching....I actually think I just about contacted everyone listed in the vendor section.

I just found out today that my quote is $290 before tip. Tiny town in North Carolina. We were contemplating getting married last year on the Queen Mary and it was much cheaper. I'm flabbergasted. I have to agree with other posters-when businesses hear the word "wedding," prices quadruple.
