Gonna join the thread just because I have the same situation: I met my future wife at online dating site ( https://mymagicbrides.com ), and we gonna get oficially married this month, but the ceremony will take place at June, just because all of her friends and relatives have no possibility to prepeare all the required documents including visa.

Actually, as bizarre as it may sound people do find their wives on sites like this.

word was that a instructor of mine back about 12 years ago married a woman from Russia and he confirmed the story. told me they had met through a organization like this, they wrote for a long time and when it came time for her to come to this country he took her to his sisters house to stay until they got married.

not sure if the company had a website at that point, but people do it.
