guest book

laurenh2704, on February 21, 2017 at 6:08 AM Posted in Planning 0 36

I searched the forums for this, but the only one I found was from 2015 but I still wanted to ask. Guest books, is everyone having them or is it okay to not have one? I don't really like the tradition books so to say so I've been looking for something else, like a picture frame or something people can sign around. But at the same time I'm not even sure I want one.

EDIT: first post said 2010

I had a really good deal for shutterfly so I made one on there with pictures of us and our adventures we've had so far in our relationship. It came out beautiful and now I have a memory book and it'll just be a bonus to have everyone say a little something in it too Smiley smile

Oh that's a good idea, I might have to look into that a little bit.

Our photobooth comes with a guest book. People take their picture and two copies print out, one for them and one for the book. Then they can sign next to their picture.

I wanted something to display that went with our theme.

I had a friend do that, but we decided against a photo booth and used the extra money to splurge on a photographer instead.

Oh I like yours @jerseygirl!! I wonder if I could find something with hearts or something since we don't really have a theme.

There are a ton of them on etsy. I got mine at CraftyGift Company. They have hearts as well. It was the only place that had butterflies. Plus I love the cut out design. Background color is customizable. Shipping is expensive but it was well packed. They sent wooden pieces in cute little bags and actually sent me more than advertised. They said they do that as a customer service.

Here is one with hearts http://etsy.me/1OAIdcP

If we do one, it will be something that can be displayed in our home as art afterwards, just with added signatures. One thought we had was some of the custom illustrations you can get on Etsy or one of our engagement photos (or later wedding photos) and having people sign the mat that goes in the frame it will be displayed in.

ETA: we're only having 35ish guests though, so we don't need much space for their signatures.

We are doing a Polaroid guest book bc I don't want a giant board to hang . Similar to photo booth one in style of book.

We are doing this with people signing around it. Sorry I'm on mobile and can't rotate the picture.

We're going guest book cards, inspiration image below. We made the cards 5x7 so we can put them into a standard size scrapbook after. We included questions like "the secret to happy marriage is..." and "What would their celebrity couple name be (i.e. Brangelina) and what would they be famous for." Printed on heavy card stock. They came out great!

I just bought a normal canvas, which I am going to paint and have guests sign. I haven't decided what is going in the middle yet. Either I'll paint our names, or I'll leave a space for a wedding picture.

I'm going to do the first layer of paint this evening (if everything goes according to plan).

I don't want one , I don't really care to see " congrats" a million times over with people's signatures

We are going non-traditional and will be having a board that will later be hung in our home.

I'm skipping it once I heard they aren't necessary.

Hi, we purchased this one off etsy and had her put our names and wedding dates on it. we are going to have the guests sign (like normal lines on the inside) and then use it as a photo album afterwards since there are so many pages.

Sharpies come in silver and gold if you want to do dark background.

This was ours. It's currently hanging in our living room. We had a lot of people compliment it.
