Super April 2024

Guess you can’t avoid all the hiccups 😰

So I get to my office this morning and I received an email from Expedia (how we booked our honeymoon) letting me know OUR FLIGHT TO OUR HONEYMOON HAS BEEN CANCELLED. 😭😭😭😭 so an hour and a half later I get off the phone with Expedia, have an earlier flights (we have to wake up at 3:30 am the day after our wedding now!!) and have a smaller rental car because the old reservation couldn’t accommodate the new arrival time.

Well. It worked out for the best as we now arrive 12 hours earlier to our honeymoon than expected and received an $84 refund because the small car was obviously cheaper.

8 more days... 😂😅

Oh no, I'm so sorry! I'm glad you were able to get it fixed, though, and more time at your honeymoon destination! And you can always sleep on the plane!!

Ick to that early wake-up! Personally, I'd rather wait at least a day or two (or really a week or month) to go, so I'd have some time to rest and get packed, rather than having to do EVERYTHING all at once.

We are waiting a year plus some though, so total other end of the spectrum. haha! I'm glad to have something new to look forward to and plan for once the wedding is done.

I've had to wake up at 3 for a flight before. I am very much a night owl and hate waking up early (even though I do it every day) so I was not a happy camper. But it wasn't too bad once you get past that grogginess. The excitement of traveling helps. Have fun!

I wouldnt even bother going to bed having to be up that early LOL! I would totally just get into whatever I was wearing on the plane and get my bags in the car or right by the door with everything in them and then relax with a cup of tea and some snacks until it was time to head out. I can sleep on planes no issue.

Oh no! Was the flight canceled from Expedia or through the actual airline? I booked my honeymoon through Expedia too, so that makes me nervous! Lol

I'd be like death warmed over trying to wake from a short sleep after a late busy wedding. I'd stay up too! My hubby's nightmare (he once told me) is going through airport security with me cranky from waking up after a few hours sleep. 😈

Yup that is totally me! My uncle took me to New Zealand and Australia a couple years ago and we had one really early morning to make the tour we had prepaid for, but the bridge we were supposed to cross to get to the town on the side of the island we had planned on driving down ended up washed completely out and we had to basically circumnavigate the WHOLE of the South Island so we didnt get to our hotel til late, like 2 am late, and still had to check in and get ready for bed before we could sleep. We had to be up by 5:30 to get breakfast and get to the tourist bureau for the bus on time My uncle told me breakfast was like eating with a Grizzly Bear in January. He usually teases me about my coffee drinking but that morning he handed me an extra large coffee cup he had them fill with espresso without any comment. And he made sure we never had less than 6 hours sleep again.

My husband and I found out that our flight to Europe for our honeymoon had been cancelled AS WE WERE DRIVING TO THE AIRPORT to get on the flight!! (When checked the app to see the status of our flight). Luckily we were able to get the last two seats on another flight leaving around the same time but it was stressful until it got worked out!

Thank goodness you're in good spirits about this.

Hey, earlier flight means more time with your hubby on your honeymoon & the $84 is more money in your pocket.

    Win/win!
