Future Mother-in-Law VENT - I HAD TO...

Ok so I need to vent a little & everyone on here is so supportive. I get married in 30 days (yay)& my FMIL is driving me crazy! From the beginning it was always about how it would affect her & what would be better. We originally were going to get married on a long weekend, but found out after the fact the weekend we picked was not the long weekend this year, she was so disappointed as she felt a lot of her family wouldn't come. Then I picked bridesmaids dresses & it was all about her daughter (one of my bridesmaids) & how she is so short & maybe we should look at other options. I spent so many hours looking for perfect dresses that were inexpensive. I have heard so much about these bridesmaids dresses & how they affect her daughter. We have had to fight with her about the guest list, she has wanted to invite all these friends of hers we don't even know. Then the drama with what she will wear, she has two dresses & has tried on so many, she finally decided to go with the one she had but

wanted to get a shrug made. Now she is worried the lady might not be able to make a shrug & she wants to go shopping for another dress, because someone told her of a store she could go and get the dress, purse & shoes for cheap. My FH is so sick of listening to her talk about dresses, there is other things that are more important. She is making my garters & ring bearer's pillow & hasn't even started yet (which is fine we have time) but I mean the dress she has is great & will look beautiful I am just frustrated. All our stress & our arguments have been because of her. She is getting a hair trial done for the wedding & I am not even doing that...it just seems this is her wedding & it's more about her. Sorry for the long vent but I just needed to.....

I'm sorry!! Just think she won't have anymore to say in 30!...but I know exactly how you feel, going through the EXACT same delima myself...it sucks!

I know! I just said to my FH I don't want to fight her on anything anymore...why does she have to be so difficult...it's the whole reason why I never invited her when I tried on wedding dresses or why she hasn't seen me in the dress yet because she always has something to say. It's frustrating at times, I love her and she has done some great things for me but oh my lord! I think her dress is fine and she is a bigger lady so for her to go find a dress now will be tough and I would love to say that to her but I don't even want to talk to her about it..oh well...30 days!

Wow she sounds like my mother. I have had some many problems with my mom. I feel your pain. I hope it gets better I just keep telling myself its MY day not hers. Hope it gets better for you : )
