for those of you who did a seating chart... how'd it go?

Megan, on August 28, 2012 at 3:55 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6

We've decided against doing escort cards, but rather we will be writing out everyone's name and table number... How did you ladies make this happen? I'm nervous about last minute changes, and using a blackboard doesn't fit the feel of the wedding... My Mom suggested printing out names on clear labels, but that just seems like there will be too many "seams" between labels. Any tips?

OH! and did you do it alphabetically or by table numbers? We're expecting around 200, but over 100 of those their last name starts with K.

Printed on GIANT paper from kinkos

This had a design behind it to give it some color, it was a color print on white paper.

    Alphabetical - faster to find.

    You can break it up

    Ka ~ Ke

    Ke ~ Ku

Mine wasn't in a frame, mine was the cheapest b&w print glued on black foam board - cost under $7

Just wait as long as you can to print it out. I had to redo our chart the day before, but otherwise we would have had one almost empty table.

Great tip Mrs S ~ I had mine ready but didn't print until Thursday - 2 days before wedding.

This is getting better and better! I love the idea of breaking up the K's... thanks for the tips ladies! Did you just type it up on word and had them print it?

This is how we did ours. It was done 2 days before at Fedex/Kinkos. And it came on the board already, so there was no gluing or attaching. The venue provided the stand.

It was a nice personal touch and worked out very well.
