First out shopping for Bridesmaid dress.

Is she in the wedding party? If not, you should let her just wear black. If she is, then maybe you can ask her to try on the same dress in blue if they have it and see how she likes it. Or suggest that you both can keep looking a little more and if you don't find any other ones that she likes better, then she can go with the black one.

Hi Gina, A little black dress is always elegant and figure slimming. I have planed Weddings where the brides even had different styles of black dresses, but made sure that the lengths are the same. She is in the Wedding party. I will have to say that I have gotten more use of my black bridesmaid dress thatn any other. As we will be paying for her dress. I think I have decided to go with the black as it is better value for my money. I think it will look great on her and my niece. And as they both going to high school, it can be worn again.

I'm all for practical so if you can live with the black, I'd just run with it.
