Extensions

Jasmine, on April 23, 2012 at 10:45 AM Posted in Planning 0 13

Good Morning, Afternoon, or Evening,

Depending on when you read this. But I posted on other people post awhile back about getting extensions for my wedding. I'm such a pecuilar person. I want a certain hair style but I don't want to have it that way after my wedding is over. So I'm thinking about trying the clip in extensions, instead of a sew in or quick weave. So I guess you can say that my question is do anyone know or have known of an African American to use clip ins or will I be the first? Also, do you think it work? Let me know how you feel and honest answers will be great whether I like them or not.

What kind of style are you going for? If you want a simple curl style. I would suggest getting a sew in weave with a romance curl. You wont have to curl it at all its already there and you can brush it for a looser curl or leave it for the tigher one it may have.

The style is half up and half down. The part that's down is in curls and the rest is just pulled back

My sister used clip in during her wedding for the same type of style but. However she didnt take them out... I dont think this style will work with if you take it out. I have heard of going theopposite direction hair up and then down. Good luck

How long did she keep them in? I would love to keep them in I just don't want my hair to stay half up and half down. I would want to go back to my regular style all hair down.

Okay for that style I would suggest the weave I mentione. thats what I used because it held up with out any hairspray or anything. I refused to do my own hair lol

Clip ins are fine...as long as your natural hair is long/thick enough to blend in with the extension pieces...otherwise, a sew in/bonding may be required.

I am a HAIR FANATIC & I cant pick just one style yet. I love the look you're going for.

They sale a pack of clip ins in various lengths for about $80...you may want to invest in it just to do a trial run & see if that achieves the look you're going for. It looks like a lot of hair may be required if you want it as full as the pic you posted...
