Envelope addressing... Help me?!

Brea, on May 7, 2017 at 8:55 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 21

Trying to address these envelopes without them looking horrible and without spending a pretty penny. I mean come on, they just end up in the trash. Anyways, I'm currently fighting with my cricut using the pens but I'm not sure I like it. I don't have amazing handwriting either so I'd rather not just hand write them, besides there is 200 of them. What did you guys do? Have any pics? TIA!

Labels...I only plan on hand writing the TU cards (again addressing with labels). Envelops just get tossed any way, is my thought....

I printed the addresses on them! I watched a YouTube tutorial on how to do it, downloaded some pretty fonts and printed them onto the envelopes! We got pretty matching labels for the return address! There was no way I was gonna be able to handwrite them all pretty lol

I printed directly onto my envelopes and downloaded fonts from dafont.com. I don't have a pic on my phone, sorry.

I used clear labels, but if your envelopes are not white they are very noticeable

I just finalized my order with Wedding Paper Divas and used their guest addressing. You use their Excel template to upload your addresses and they do the rest. It's $0.59 per invite. I also think Minted offers this for free with invite purchases.

We are planning on printing. We did a test one and it looks much better than our hand writing

I am using my Cricut to address my envelopes. What issues are you having that you aren't liking the Cricut?

Print straight on them or use clear labels. I also have a cricut. Labels seem to be the quickest and easiest. I've never gotten a wedding invite in the mail and thought "OMG that clear label is hideous!" Also, the envelope will likely go in the trash. It's not worth my time.

I had mine printed on the envelopes. 1000% worth it. The circuit would have taken FOREVER. They sell stencils so if you hand address them you can get the spacing perfect. Please just don't use white labels on colored envelopes.

I don't know how to do that. I don't have that stuff at home. Maybe my MOH could do it.

YouTube envelope addressing, I have nice handwriting and plan on hand addressing our invitations (close to 100) I bought a 'Lettermate' that helps make sure you're writing properly spaced out and straight!

Most printers have special settings to allow you to print directly on the envelopes. I would try that before going with clear labels.
