I mean, it makes sense that her clients that are paying her would get their images first? I did a friend's wedding in October. I did it for $500, which is 1/4 of what I normally charge. It usually takes me 8 weeks to get weddings done, but I took an extra 2 weeks on hers because I did my full paying clients' images first. She was extremely grateful even with the delay.

I do love that the cats are included. I wish mine weren't afraid of other people, I would love have included them in some photos, since our whole wedding theme is cats.

However, if you aren't happy with the results, then yeah, get a new photographer.

First off they are all beautiful! It was hard for me to pick.. but my favorites are 2 and 7!

The outdoor photos look lovely! Though, in all honesty, it looks like your friend is more of a natural light photographer. I can see where she is struggling with the flash. If your wedding is mostly outside, she might be a good fit, but its indoor or low light, I would definitely invest in finding a pro.

Its not that we are not grateful. we are but we are nervous that she doesn't actually want to do this. she offered the gift to us 2 years ago. we did ask her if she was sure that she was ok doing this and she hesitated before saying yes when we finally spoke with her last week. We only get one shot at this so I think going with a new photographer will be the wise thing to do. Our family and friends are all saying the same thing as well. I understand needing to put your paying customers first but when you make a commitment then I feel that you should honor it. We never asked her to do it.

I think #10 would be great for your save the dates.

Honestly, i don’t think her work reflects professional to me. The photos are good but not GREAT.

I say look for a pro. I recommend George Street, they pair you with a photographer that fits your style

Definitely look for a paid pro, trust your cut. These took way too long to get back, but they are nice! Can you imagine if she had 1000+ photos to go through?

What makes the pictures not look great? I'm no pro but I have always loved her work. My profile picture she did as well.

I love the cat pictures!

I like number 7 the best for your STD. Number 1 is good too.

My first pick was #2 but when I looked at it again I noticed your feet look a little blurry. Maybe you could crop it? I also like #1 and #7.

My friend did our photos (she’s a pro), and got them to us within a week (> 1000 images for our STDs to go through and edit). I get if she puts paying customers first, but that was a LONG delay if you did them in September and didn’t get them until now (I think a delay of a few weeks to a month would be acceptable in this instance, not months). Pair that with her ignoring you, and I would definitely get another pro for your wedding.

So cute!!! Love the kitten pics, and I also love that you got some black and white shots as well! The blue color you chose for your top looks great in the pictures!

I agree here with Ashley. I almost feel like I could have taken these pictures! (I do photography as a hobby.) So when I was looking at photographers and I thought I can take the same quality of photo then I moved on and looked for someone else.

The one photo of you two walking away you can tell you are moving. I get that it is later in the day but the photographer that we hired did kind of the same thing, and I am going to guess around the same time of day, and the pictures of us walking or moving is not blurry in any parts.

Plus (to me at least) photography is one of the top things to splurge on a little. I know we did. So I would defiantly not use a friendor. I am really hope you do look for a new Pro Photographer.

Sorry to be blunt. But it would make me very nervous using this person for my wedding.

I really like the first one!
