I'm taking my engagement photos in mid August and have no idea what to wear! I'm leaning towards two outfits, casual and dressy but I don't know if we should lean towards summer attire or fall attire? What did you guys wear for your August engagement photos?

Where are you located? That will probably effect how hot it is in August; if you wear fall clothes you might be hot! However, ask your photographer if you can bring a couple changes of clothes (fall and summer) I have seen engagement photos that have obviously been taken in the same session but the couple brought 2 sets of clothing. You can pick the ones you like best!

I would say summer attire! August is still very hot in most places.

I would do a sundress or something summery. You don't want to overheat yourself because your uncomfortability will show in your photos.

Hi Lexi,
If your photographer allows for the wardrobe change, definitely do casual summer first and then switch to dressier fall wear. You will look more comfortable in your photos.
What kind of setting are thinking of for your photos?

What do you like the best? And what is your setting? We are doing our first session on the beach so I'm making a light floaty dress for that one and we are waiting til fall for our next set because we want them in costume and we dont want to overheat.
