Engagement photo display opinon

Preslee, on October 23, 2018 at 2:50 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 14

So a few questions; not necessarily a right or wrong just opinions.

We have a few frames for our engagement photos to be displayed at our cocktail hour. I was thinking of doing frames as well with photos throughout the last 4 years- is this too many photos?

Also, the frame I made for the cocktail hour has 12 photos and matches our house; I was wanting to hang it in our home after the wedding, is it weird to display a big frame of photos of yourself? (Weird questions I know).

Thanks in advance!

Hi Preslee! I think this is a really fun idea and guests love seeing photos of the couple at the wedding! I think you should totally go for it! It will add to the personalization in your decor, and will look lovely! Smiley kiss

It's not weird to have your wedding/e-pics photos displayed in the house. I think a lot of people do this, me included.

I think it is fine to have some photos displayed around the place where your cocktail hour/reception will be. I had two e-pics framed and displayed at the reception as well as a few pics of his parents on their wedding day, a pic of my mom who had recently passed, and pics of both of us when we were about 4 or 5.

We're doing our e-photos and a few others on our escort card table around our "Cheers! to the new Mr. and Mrs! Please find your seat!" Sign.

The more photos the better! It is a popular thing to do a photo display of pictures of you two at your wedding because guests are literally there to celebrate you two and your love story!

Hanging pictures of you in your house is never wrong, it is the same thing, pictures of your story in your house celebrating your love story!

I think it would be cute and see versions of this all the time at weddings. We purchased a black wire grid and displayed loose photos attached to the grid via rose gold clips to match one of our accent colors. A friend randomly found some old windows by the side of the road and she re-purposed them into her seating list and added photos of the both of them.

It is not weird at all!

The decoration that we had down the aisle was pictures of my husband and I through out the years of dating! Then the rest that we had left over from the chairs outside we set on the cocktail hour tables!

You can never have too many pictures of yourself. I am actually having a poster made of one of our engagement pics done, that will be in our house on the wall.

I think that is awesome! I believe you can't have too many photos. People enjoy looking at them. We have almost 50 frames being spread around the venue with pics of FH and I together and with friends!

Not weird at all! I think that having photos of y'all from throughout the years is a super sweet idea. People like to look at old photos anyways. My cousin just recently got married and she bought a little tree and clipped a bunch of photos to the tree. She put it near her guestbook and it was so cute! I plan on using a lot of stuff from my own wedding to decorate our future home... why not? Smiley smile

I made 2 of those hula hoop Pinterest inspired frames for my D's bridal shower and we'll be displaying them at the wedding as well. In addition there will be photos dispersed throughout shelves in the foyer with the couple's engagement photos, and wedding photos of us parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. So lots of photos! I think that helps to personalize the event Smiley smile

I don't think its weird at all, we love our e-pics and our photographer did an amazing job. We plan to put a small frame with a picture on all of the cocktail tables with a candle.

Nope. I don't think that's weird at all. It's your wedding. Do as you please! We are having one of our engagement photos blown up and will have the guests sign it instead of a traditional guest book!

I think photos are great and it really personalizes the event. Otherwise, it could be anyone's wedding!

We're doing a travel theme for our wedding because we both travel so much (both for work and pleasure). Instead of table numbers, we are naming our tables with destinations/places that we have traveled together. Then, on each table, we will have pictures of us at that location.
